Blizzard= family time!

The day started out fine, but shortly after 12:30 it made a turn for the worse! I was in Rock Valley and decided to head home around 1:00. Little did I know that it would let up, and the drive would have been better around 5:00. But anyways, away I went in my little yellow car.  It was probably the worst road conditions I've driven in since I got stuck at the Sloan, IA gas station coming home from the Omaha!  The wind gusts were close to 50-60 mph, and the visibility was terrible!  Some roads were iced over, and I swear my little car was being blown over!  Right outside of town on Hwy 75 there was a 6 car pile up, so glad I wasn't in that!  They had fire trucks stopping traffic and detouring you onto gravel.   The only downside to that was there are no lines on gravel roads to let you know where you're at!  But thankfully it was only about 5 miles of gravel, and I never met anyone coming the other direction.  I was VERY happy to be pulling into town that day, and thankful that I got home safe.  Around 2:00 I got a call that daycare was closing early, so I had to go get Easton.  I knew James & Cori were still in Rock Valley, so I got Preston too.  School was out at 12:45, and Mom had picked up Cameron.  She offered to make supper that night, and since I didn't know if Mark was going to make it home or not, I decided to get the boys and head straight there.  It was a fun "snow day" and thankfully everyone got home safe.
Cameron becomes a horse!
