Race on over, Easton is turning 3!
Easton wanted a Cars themed party, so that's just what we had! We had a great time celebrating with family! He felt pretty special, and loved when everyone sang Happy Birthday to him. Aunt Megan & Kacey were even here for the celebration! Megan was awesome help in preparing for the party! She took care of the cake & cupcakes, and they turned out wonderful! Grandpa Albert couldn't be there, he was on another fishing trip!

Breast Cancer hits close to home
October is breast cancer awareness month, how ironic. I know breast cancer is something we hear all the time. But until this point, I was lucky that it hadn't affected any of my close friends or family.
My good friend Lisa found a lump, went in for a mammogram and results showed nothing. But they knew something was there, you could feel it. She had an ultrasound, and from that point on nothing was good. She was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Everything moved very quickly from time of diagnosis, to her treatment plan, and starting chemo. She was given the "red devil" treatment, 4xs (every other week). This was the ugliest drug and not to mention very strong. They don't call it that for fun, it truly resembles it's appearance and the after affects suck! The week she got chemo she always felt pretty good, but it was the week after that was ugly. She is a strong lady, one of the strongest I know. I'm so proud of her for taking this head on! She's going to kick cancers butt, and we are all behind her 100%!! Dayna, Jill and I went to her first treatment to show our support (it was hard on all of us, but of course her and Terry the most). Through these trying weeks, we've had our shares of cry sessions, our walks to get her out of the house, lunch dates when she wants to eat and daily text conversations to make sure she knows we care! On a side note, she rocks a wig better than anyone I know! You'd never guess it wasn't her hair!! For that I'm so happy.
Megan was out here when she found out she had cancer, so we made her these adorable cookies, to make light of the situation :)
Right away we started talking about a t-shirt. Lisa had a design in mind and I was able to work with a local shop to make it a reality. We sold almost 225 shirts! They didn't feel comfortable making this a fundraiser so we just did it as a way to show support for them! Central Lyon Booster Club always does a Pink Out night at a volleyball game, so we got those t-shirts too!
As her close friends, we made her this special video to remind her of how strong she is, even when she doesn't feel like it!

He rocks this shirt ;)
Easton has done so well with all of this. He knows Lisa is sick, we pray for her everynight. But he loves to wear his shirt, knows it's for Lisa!
We went to Paige's VB game, pink out night!

Happy Birthday, Sheri!
It was so nice we were all together to celebrate Sheri's Birthday. It was a couple weeks after, but we were excited to go out with no children!

Welcome to the world, Emerson James Montag!
I couldn't have been more surprised when I got the call! I knew it was coming, but he was finally here! It killed me to wait all day, but it was worth it. I got to bring Cameron and Preston up to meet their baby brother for the first time! Cameron was concerned if he'd make it back in time for the Homecoming football game, hence his apparel :) But we did. And the boys were over joyed with love of their new brother! Cam took a little while to get use to his name, but they thought he was pretty special :)

Fall means football!
We love Saturdays for many reasons, but when the Hawks are playing it's a bonus! We also love Friday nights! The boys really enjoyed going to some football games this year. They were always well entertained, and Mom & Dad got to socialize a little too. I love fall!
Cousin Cam even would hang out with us :)
