National Dogs Day

I don't always enjoy cleaning up after you! It seems endless, whether it be outside or inside, but we love you Nelli! One of these years Easton will be too big for your old frame, but until then you keep taking the friendly play so well! #happynationaldogsday

Arnolds Park- Okoboji, IA

It's tradition that once a summer we go to the park with Mom & Dad, James, Cori & the boys.  Easton was little more hesitant this time around.  I'm not sure why.  But he still had fun.  Poor Callen wasn't feeling the best, and he was too young to ride anything. 

I found out 2 days after this trip he actually had hand, foot and mouth disease! It was going around at daycare, almost wiped out his whole room.  It was terrible, but we got through it! He didn't want to eat anything or even suck on his binky! Poor baby!!

I wish these visits were more frequent, but we take them when we can! I was so happy that Anna and the kids packed up from West Bend and came to visit us!  Keaton came along and he was  BIG help!  So glad he did. The day started out kind of cool, but warmed up fast.  The kids had a blast!  We had unlimited rides, played mini-golf, ate pizza and of course got nutty bars!  I didn't bring Callen, only because I wanted to enjoy the day and actually try and visit with Anna;)  But our kiddos kept us running, riding, eating, etc.  It was fun, and I'm so glad we have these memories together!

I love that my best friend is also my cousin.  I wish we weren't so far apart, but we can always pick up where we left off!  We don't get to see each other enough, and phone conversations are brief, and I wish more frequent, but there's nobody like her!  She puts me in my place when I'm complaining, helps me see the good in everything, and always introducing me to something new.  Love you Anna!

I'm so proud of us, we never lost a kid :) Easton had to wear a backpack that I carried most of the time.  We are in the potty training phase, and I think we went through a couple changes of bottoms! We'll get it someday...

Hot Air Balloon Race- Sioux Falls

We decided to attend this event in SF.  It was at a park, and LOTS of other people thought it was a good idea too ;) We packed a picnic, and sat and blew bubbles until the balloons were ready for take off.  It took longer than we thought, but I guess they had some delays.  It was very cool.  We didn't stay for the glow balloon race, the kids were too tired.  But we had a great time! Easton loves the Disney movie Up, so it was cool for him to see a hot air balloon in person.

Colorado Vacation- Day 3

I don't know where all my pictures go, but we did see Josh & Ashley also.  Megan came down a couple days.  We got to see my CO family, and Mark's extended.  It was a great trip! We can't wait to come back!

Colorado Vacation- Day 2

We took the kids to another park one night after supper.  Then we walked up to the Columbine Memorial.  It was very beautiful.  The kids enjoyed running around and I think Daddy enjoyed reflecting on his high school days, the good & bad.  Thankful for him today and always!
