Mommy & Me- Clear Lake, IA

Callen and I traveled to Clear Lake to celebrate my cousin Megan's 30th Birthday.  The plan was not to have kids, but it's hard to getaway over night with a newborn.  So Callen came along with me and Alice came with Jess.  Megan was able to get away with out children which was probably the best Birthday present she could have received ;) Bruce & Carmen were so accommodating!  We even got a sailboat ride in that evening.  They fed us like we were royalty and ended the evening at 11:30 with birthday cake and coffee.  Does that mean we're getting old?  It was a lot of fun, nice and relaxing.  Isn't lake living always that way?  We were able to sit around and reminisce about all the memories we have had over our 30 years, and of course discuss our questions & concerns with motherhood.  I have always valued our time together, and this was no different.
