I can't complain this year, I didn't give anything up. I thought that giving myself to the growing child inside of me was enough ;) I did however make it a point to say two Hail Mary's and two Our Father's each night with Easton, along with his Now I lay me down to sleep prayer. I always have good intentions of praying each night, but just made it more of a priority. I saw "two" of each prayers because I prayed for each of our growing children. I feel like it's been a great routine to get into. I know that throughout the day we may say a prayer here or there, but this really gave me time to think about all the great blessings in my life along with those people you want to pray for. When I think of all the people I prayed for, and the things I wanted to happen, all I can say is God is good. Many of those people have overcome illness, recovered from accidents, or delivered healthy babies! He knows what's most important: Faith & Family. Thanks for taking good care of us this Lenten season!
We went to the Knights of Columbus Fish Fry in Larchwood with Mark's parents. The food was great and Easton behaved well :) We rewarded him with playtime at the park afterwards. It was a gorgeous day that afternoon, so Easton even got to wear shorts and his new sandals :)
Don't worry, he didn't get any :) But anything to keep him from yelling in public works for me!
