Rock Rapids Parade of Lights

The one year I don't have to participate because I'm on maternity leave, Mark does!  But his float was all ready to go from the Sioux Falls Parade of Lights, so it wasn't too much work.  The boys were excited to ride with us, it was just too cold for Easton. He slept in the truck with Grandma :)
Cameron and Preston enjoying the lights and the ride!

Dad helped Mark out, I think he's becoming a regular in the RR parades.  He seems to be in the summer or the winter ones for HickoryTech (he's still representing us with his hat) quite often, and now he's working for Big Sioux Powersports!

Looking good babe!

Love these boys!

Happy Thanksgiving

We were excited to host Thanksgiving this year, and it was filled with first!  It was Easton's first Thanksgiving and our first time hosting.  I was a little nervous with new baby and cooking such a big meal, but it went great.  Mark was in charge of the turkey and he did an awesome job! Everyone contributed to the meal and we all enjoyed it! I don't think anyone went hungry.  We enjoyed Mark's family for dinner, my parents and brother.  Caleb had to work Black Friday at Scheels in Iowa City, so he had to get back on the road right after lunch.  There was no sense in Mom & Dad making a big dinner for the 3 of them, when we had plenty.  Here are some pictures from our wonderful holiday :)
I'm glad he was in charge of the turkey, it looked gross to me! Of course until it was cooked ;)

Thankful for him!
I think this was Dad's "I think he just had a blow out" face!

Caleb hadn't met Easton until this trip, I think Easton is admiring him ;)

Easton's Baptism

Easton's baptism went great!  We were lucky to have all of his immediate family here to help him celebrate this special sacrament.
He was sleeping all during mass so after we had to get him changed and fed!

He didn't seem to mind the water, but he does like his baths!

6 weeks old

I can't believe our baby is already 6 weeks old!  He is growing everyday.  I've already started a bin of clothes that don't fit.  I have mixed emotions about him growing out of them, but it's so fun to watch him grow and enjoy new things.  He enjoys his play gym, music, and most of all our voices.  It's so fun to talk to him and see him smile back at you :) Melts my heart.
We've had a great week of weather so we've gotten to walk everyday.  He and I both enjoy the fresh air.  Today it's going to be the last warm one for a while, so we'll be sure to savor the moment!

Happy Halloween

Easton enjoyed his 1st Halloween with his cousins.  We ventured out for the trick-or-treat parade downtown.  I offered to take the boys because I knew James & Cori had to work. The weather couldn't have been better after a week with some cold fall days.  With the help of my Aunt Dee we got everyone dressed, fed and to the parade on time!  Easton only got about 1 oz of milk before we left, but still slept through the whole parade.  Afterwards though he was a hot mess.  Preston thought maybe it was because he didn't get any candy ;) Easton had many Halloween outfits this year some of these pictures are taken on different days, but he did have a couple outfit changes on Halloween.  He hates getting dressed, so thanks for being such a trooper buddy!
