The cyst shrunk!

I had an ultrasound and OB appointment yesterday.  I was nervous going into it, because I was having more pain on my left side, which made me wonder if it burst or if it was growing?!? My doctor said she thinks it burst because it's A LOT smaller than before!  Such great news :) I also got the chance to peek at baby Rad again too!  He/she was very active kicking and hiding from the light!  The baby sat looking at my back most of the time, little stinker! I heard the heart rate of 155 and even saw the heart beating :) I was able to see the spine, eyes, nose, mouth, legs, etc!! It was really cool.  I read that it's possible to find out the sex as early as 15 weeks, so I asked the technician if she could see anything.  She said it was a little early to see full anatomy, but afer minutes of looking she said if she had to guess- a girl!  When I told Mark he said, "I could have guessed that too- it's a 50/50 chance" :) We'll have to wait until our next appointment on May 15th to get the accurate reading!  I'm excited to feel some movement soon, the doctor was listening to the heart rate and a loud noise would come on the machine and she'd ask "did you feel that, it was a kick" but I didn't feel anything.  So hopefully soon :)
I'm starting to feel better, and have more energy.  Mark, Nelli, and I have been enjoying our nightly walks.
Mark started his new hours already at work, even though the new building doesn't open until June.  He now works 9-6 in the parts & accessories department.  The only bad part is he isn't home till 7 PM :(  I'm not looking forward to June when he starts working Saturdays! He does get Sunday & Monday off, but just not the same.  But we'll learn to adjust.  The only good part about these hours is baby gets to stay home with Daddy on Mondays :)

Happy Easter!

We celebrated Easter at my parents this year.  We had a delicious meal that everyone contributed to.  I was pretty excited as I made my first Carrott Cake and it was hit :)  After lunch we had an Easter Egg Hunt!  My Mom & Dad involved all of us, so we even got to find some eggs too!  Here are some pictures from our day, hope you enjoyed yours!

Mark gets confirmed

Mark made the decision to join the Catholic church last summer and started classes in September.  On Easter Vigil he was confirmed and we couldn't be more excited for him!  The mass started at 8:30 pm and we left the church at 10:30!! It was long, but very meaningful and one we won't foget.  So proud of you Mark, congrats!  Sorry the pictures are kind of blurry, we were having trouble with the lighting in the church.  And on a side note I really am not as big as the pictures portray. I think wearing tight shirts are the way to go, the baggy ones make me look LARGER than I really am!!

It was also my Mom's 50th BIRTHDAY!  It was a hard one to celebrate due to Easter and confirmation, but we still made time for birthday cake :)

1st Trimester nearing the end!

The last week of my 1st trimester, finally!  Everything I read says you start to feel better and have more energy in your 2nd trimester and I can't wait for that.  I'm starting to slowly feel better, but yet I have my moments when all I can do is lay down and sleep.  I've started to show more recently and wear maternity clothes daily.  It's just way more comfortable to wear them then to try and make my normal clothes work.  I'm excited we've had a nice start to Spring!  I'm looking forward to having the energy to get out and exercise.  I know everyone tells me it really does help during labor if you've exercised, so I'm really hoping to start a routine this trimester that will carry through! Wish me luck :) Mark has been the best husband ever, always asking if I need anything and what he can do to make me feel better- such a gem!

Ultrasound #2

March 9, 2012- At my first appointment during my ultrasound they saw I had a cyst on my left ovary.  So they scheduled an ultrasound 2 weeks later to make sure it hadn't grown.  The cyst didn't grow, and we got another opportunity to see our little one :) Baby Rad looked great and had a heart rate of 179!!

Baby Rad's 1st picture

My first appointment was February 24, 2012 and I had an ultrasound to help me determine the due date.  We found out we were 8 weeks pregnant and our due date was October 5th!  We couldn't believe our eyes, what a miracle! We could see arms &legs and a heart rate of 169!
